History only changes when people take action. The worst thing we can do is to do nothing.
Deep canvassing—where we connect face-to-face with potential voters by sharing stories—is the most effective form of voter persuasion ever measured. We’ve been practicing and refining our deep canvassing methods since 2017, when our founding members came together to form a political action committee that saw voters turn out at rates that surprised even the canvassers and made a decisive difference in one congressional district. In the 2024 presidential year, we continued our work to turn out voters where the margins make a difference between winning and losing crucial campaigns including the top of the ticket. Those of us trying to stop Trumpism in 2024 lost. But our work still mattered. (Read more about our impact)
In spring 2025, we’ve relaunched our West Philly deep canvassing efforts to engage in authentic conversations with those whose lives will be impacted by these harmful policies and invite them to take action with us. We’re focusing on how to protect Medicaid, which touches nearly every American and is an issue that in Pennsylvania, where two crucial swing-state senators hold power, we have the chance to ensure residents get heard.
